A Map of Caledonia

This is the map of Caledonia for Justinian’s Shore, Book V of the Roman Sky series. The kingdoms of the Picts [Caledonians in the story] are my estimate while Dalriada reflects a more aggressive settlement od Caledonia's western coast by the Gaels [Erunai in the story]. The Attacotti and Otadini are Brittonic tribes that are part of Britannia Intervallum, a buffer state between the Picts and Roman Britain. 

The Pictish place names were derived from ancient references, what little is known of the Pictish language, and from Old Welsh, which many linguists believe is similar to the Pictish tongue. The results were surprisingly good fits with the modern names of many places.
